1 for the LADIES!

Okay so I have a post and I will try and make it quick because I seen how loooonnnnngggg the last one was and my plan is not to write a book just to get thoughts from mind to paper in this case electronical paper lol so I may tend to ramble from time to time hey it happens but I digress so I am a big sports fan and with it being march it's only right to have a post about college basketball. Now I'm sure you would expect it to be bout mens march madness all the upsets the brackets or maybe the nba going into the playoffs with lbj and melo's race for mvp but honestly I'm not going to talk about any of that outside of perspectively speaking. I wanted to shed light on the other side of sports that doesn't seem to get as much spot light as it's counter part no matter how spectacular the feat is. And I believe this feat is quite spectacular almost unreal. I'm referring to the university of connecticut lady huskies basketball team. And unless you follow very closely to all sports then you prolly haven't heard about these talented women. And honestly they are over shadowed by some of the mens feats that are not nearly as comparable. So the team and not to jinx them but if they can finish off the tourny with a championship they would have won three str8 championships and haven't lost a single game in the last 3 years. If that's not impressive they way they have won will impress you in the 80 sum odd games they have played the last three years only 3 games haven't been decided by less than 20 points. They have won every game by double digits and the closes game was a 14 point win against st.johns. They have recently broke their own record from the 02-04 teams that won 72 str8 games now although none of the players who are there now played back then to give you a perspective of how good they are the last team to go undefeated a whole season including championship was the 1985 indiana hoosiers that was 25 years ago. The last mens basketball team to win back to back national titles was the florida gators back in 2006. No team has ever three peat. And to give perspective with the nba no team has ever went an entire season undefeated and the longest win streak for any nba team is 33 games by the lakers of 71. College basketball regular seasons are 32 games long. So before we go forth in the madness of march lets give these ladies a hand for their spectacular percormance thus far it's the least that can be done. So I'm signing off dueces! Politically Opinionated Debates (iPOD)

after my first blog I have decided that it's not only faster but it's easier if when I'm typing I just write my thoughts instead of adding all the grammatically correct things I jus have one big ass run on sentence lol so nuthin gets distorted or lost in translation I've been reading another persons blog and notice how often he uses videos pics and links to articles I've decided even tho it's very informative and helps readers know where information is retrieved I'm lazy and honestly you are too for not looking it up ya self! Lol but anyways in light of the two recent changes in our wonderful countries law I've decided to dedicate this entry to politics and the opinions that swirl around politics I recently posted a status on my facebook about the healthcare bill before I knew what it says basically stating that people should be more informed and not praise somethine they kno absolutely nuthing about based on assumptions from other peoples interpretations and assumptions so I took it upon myself to search for details on the bill and honestly if you want the link go to my facebook and skim through old status' but I digress my interpretation of the bill from my personal stand point and where I am in my life journey is that it was and is a good bill and I think it is very needed now as I was riding around apartment hunting yesterday I was listening to the radio normally I'm listening to a cd but from time to time I turn on talk radio and listen to savagenation I try not to listen to it often because I don't wanna support the guy but I like to listen to the extremist views its often quite funny at times like where do you get the shit from. anyways i think his show comes on anywhere from 2-5 im not sure exactly the station is 105.1 if you are in louisville if not well idk what to tell ya lol i digress so i was listening and he is talking bout the healthcare bill and jus bashing obama and democrats everywhere and then he says something that just made me be like "SERIOUSLY!" to sum up his statement he basically said obama and the democratic congress men are socialist who are goin to take over the government and obama will become the dictator of america for the next 50 years! He said the country will no longer be a free country and everything will become dictated by government regulations and what not which I personally think is bogus and a very extremist point of view but it's his opinion so who really cares but I was thinking about how many people prolly listen to this man and believe what he says the thought alone scares me I mean for people to be that ignorant and bias to say the things they do. Makes me wonder what FDR was goin through during the great depression. On another note I heard joe biden wild out at the signin of the healthcare bill the news report says he leaned ovr to obama and blatantly stated "this is a big fucking deal!" referring to the bill. I mean the statement it self is obvious of what everyone thinks of the bill but my main point is why do we as "common" people hold these executive people in such high standards as to where it becomes ridiculous for them to make mistakes, swear, or do things we do on a regular basis and it's such a bad thing I mean at the end of the day they are human just like us so why is it such a big deal when they do "normal" actions I understand they are constantly in the spotlight but honestly when we start treating them like they are too good to be themselves that is when they become different and began to believe they are better than everyone around them and they are not accountable for their actions. We then turn them into the monsters we see in alot of celebs. So I think wit that said lets TRY and keep these people on our level lets TRY and keep them humble because once they loose that they are loose cannons that can't be controlled! So on that note I'm chucking the dueces! And remember read to learn and learn 2 rewrite history.

this is my first time-thats what she said!

okay so technically this is the blog I lose my v-card to. Well I wish I could make it the most rememberable isnt that how everybodies first is supposed to go anyway. although that it never or rarely the case rather i find my self rambling while typing this on my palm pre listening to accuradio. I recently switched from pandora to accuradio and honestly they both are pretty crappy if I just had more memory on this baby mac i would just put songs i already have on here. But instead im stuck with these "radio" stations but i guess its better than actual radio stations playing the same soulja boy beyonce and gucci mane over and over. Which I guess would bring me to the main topic of my first blog "the state of music" right now is ridiculous. I mean honestly i listen to my fair share of crap music I cant lie its catchy it sticks in ya head and is hard to get rid of. But its likely lately between auto-tune, swag music, and the occassional new dance or snap music where is the real artist at? Of course you have your exceptions like drake J.cole and whats currently playing Kanye. Which honestly i miss the old Kanye. I have seen glimpses of the old Ye who would hop on any beat and show the versatility and word play hip hop or rap whatever you call it is missing. For instance playing now is Forever and out of the 3 verses, I do not like to count Mr. Carters on this song because clearly the original verse was much better but back to the subject kanye clearly has the sickest verse and not to take nuthin from 808 and heartbreak but by the time it dropped i was very sick of the auto-tune movement so a whole album in that form wasnt very appealing to me. But even wit that said i still miss the other kanye i mean go hard was a great mixture of both sides and i enjoyed the lyrical excersie he worked out on that track still to this day one of my favorite lines ever is from that song! So wit that being said i jus dont understand where the "industry" is finding the talent they are finding. By all means im not knocking anybodies hustle do you homeboy but to intentionally repeat what someone else has already done is not good for the game. Being different is what made hip hop/rap repititon is what's gonna kill it! I'm signing off dueces! And remember read to learn and learn to rewrite history!
